Postage Stamps

Stamp collecting and the study of stamps, or Philately, is enjoyed throughout the world. Despite the development of postal technology that eliminates the need for stamps, a significant number of philatelists still adhere to this hobby.

What motivates these stamp enthusiasts? Postage stamps are universal images that call people of all races and religions to discover the world. These small images celebrate great personalities and record special events in history. Every postage stamp is a ticket not only to different countries but to different disciplines of art, science, music and technology.

One of the most famous stamp collectors was President of the United States of America, Franklin D. Roosevelt. He argued Philately is the best way to rid oneself of dullness and boredom and the most effective means of enriching knowledge.
